LDYSL Indoor Team Wins Ontario Indoor Cup

In the first Semi-Final, Ajax Warriors progressed after defeating Mississauga Falcons 3-2 in a five goal thriller. In the other Semi-Final, London United Hurricanes kept its Final Round perfect record intact with a decisive 3-0 victory over Woodbridge Strikers. This result set up a meeting of the undefeated group leaders later in the day. In the Final, both Goalkeepers had a solid outing as the pace quickened in a game that could have gone either way. London United opened the scoring just before the mid-way mark of the first half with Mallory Marcochia heading home the goal to give her team a 1-0 lead. That score remained until just under two minutes left, when Mallory Marcochia poached her second of the game following a scramble in front of the Ajax goal. The final score ended 2-0, which saw the 2004 Ontario Indoor Cup awarded to London United Hurricanes.
